Being a mummy to you

Today's bla : All students sitting the PMR exam [Form 3 public exam] in M'sia needs to be checked if they have A(H1N1). If they are tested positive they must sit in different separated rooms with air-cond. Nevertheless, good luck to all on Oct 7-9 and Oct 12-13.

Have you ever thought what you would do without your mummy? I haven't really did until recently.

Because seriously all I ever did was whine and complain and I never really appreciate what my mum did for me.

My mumm recently had to work from 9-to-5 and I had to cook and wash for the household because if not, we would be starving and I do not want to starve. Cooking and cleaning-up sound pretty casual and easy but it isn't at all. Trust me it ain't.

You know, when you cook, the hot oil pops if the veggie or meat contents just a little bit of water. And the saddest part is it stings my delicate soft-hands. I don't want to have freckled or flawed hands. I want perfect hands so I can hold my GF's hands next time.

Anyways, you think that is all and gloves would help? You are wrong because after you cooked, your family members will taste it. And not one family loves one thing indefinitely and people have different opinions so that means one person is bound to say that your stir-fried hokkien veggie is too salty or your fried seafood kueh-tiew is too oily. Yes. My friend, I am hurt.

But that's not the point.

The point is that my mumm has been doing this for the past many years and put up with each and everyone one's of our complaints and whinges. It's hurtful and ungrateful. So I am here to share..

What its like being a mumm to you :

1) She tried to learn new Western recipes and cooked lean steak for you but all you ever did was give demeaning comments and response.

2) She cleaned your room when it is messy with clothes and books laying around and all you ever did was shouted and demanded ''why did you touched my stuffs?!''

3) Irony, when you couldn't find your own belongings, you blamed your mumm that she lost it because she cleaned up the room.

4) When your mumm fetch you up from a late party when she could have slept while you could have used the bus home, you insisted that she stay inside the car because you don't want to risk being embarrassed by her.

5) When she give you money or gifts, you said it's not enough or it's not pretty enough. And you know what is the saddest thing? You can't even blurt ''I love you, ma''

Updated : Don't believe me, try to be in your mumm's shoes for a day. You will understand what I meant.

P.S - I love my mumm.

Double P.S - My family loves my cooking and reckons I should look more upon this talent.

Triple P.S - My hands are getting uglier everyday.

You know you love me, JOsh
