Before last weekend, the last time I attended a farewell party was my own before relocating to Brisbane. It didn't feel as good
First of all, it was heart-breaking knowing you are about to leave everything that you means most to you. Secondly, it also makes you realised you are actually very important to those around you. And your heart would tingled and wuzzled because of the immense love shown. This is exactly what one particular person is feeling right now.
I want to introduce a person I've known since I've attended EMP Church. His name is Andrew Lam. He is the son of Pastor Lam in EMP Church. Anyways, you'd think I made this friend so his father would marry me and my future-girlfriend next time, but no.
The many things I see in Andrew :
1) He is one of the tallest and random-most people in church. Not in a lame way, but in a lovely and cool way.
2) Andrew's hair was so long. It's so long it's actually shocking. It's shocking because it was actually longer than many girls.
2) He is one of the greatest free-style finger guitarist I've ever put my eyes on. And you people know I put my eyes on a lot of things. Click here to see his fingers dance. [more videos will be uploaded soon] -- Andrew without his guitar is like me without my balls.
3) Loves tricking and martial arts. He would be remembered by me as the ''Long haired Bruce Lee''
hiyahhhhh!!!
4) Earliest to arrive at church most of the time. Always serving and participating. Always devoting himself for Christ in many aspects.
5) As a guy/bloke, his Facebook profile has one of the most pictures ever.
6) He had to go back and carry guns, run 8 miles per day, have crap meals everyday and serve his two years of National Service in Singapore. (awww)
7) One of the most respectable, tallest, longest-haired, passionate dude at Youth.
8) His famous quote : ''Success through perseverance'' which indeed made him who he is today.
9) Recently got his hair cut which now looks a lot like Jay Chou except better. All just for the army. I wouldn't do that for the army.
In short, I don't know Andrew as much as all the other youths at MYF. Nevertheless, he never fails to produce and conjure that sort of ''aura'' which puts anyone and everyone's face a big smile.
Little did I know until now that this is the very guy who made me want to learn back flips, guitar, tricking, martial arts (again) and have super long hair.
As he is leaving his comfort zone to serve the army in SG tomorrow, we the many church's bros & sis in Christ wish him all the very best in future.
God truly blessed this almost-6''-tall-dude with a moving Christ-like character and a passionate believer.
This Blog entry is not only a gift to Andrew but also to show my utmost gratitude and to earnestly thank him for his passion in showing me the real meaning of "brotherly love".
Goodbye, Andrew.
P.S - joshlullaby.blogspot sincerely wishes him and his dancing fingers all the very best!
You know you love me, JOsh
