Today’s bla: Finally succumbed to watch what the fuzz is all about the “2 Girls 1 Cup” viral video. All I can say is it’s the most horrifying thing I’ve ever seen.. Please, if you are underage and cannot tolerate extreme graphic scenes, I strongly suggest you refrain from it. I have a hint of regret watching it now. ![]()
It’s becoming a ritual now: Wednesday’s lunch and movie with @taiwantechie. Since there are like 2741 restaurants and eateries at South Bank alone, today’s lucky pick was Toscani’s!
My Asian eyes caught the cheap-sign “Special Lunch” meals advertised outside so we immediately went in. Besides, I always hear it being advertised on the local radio. Toscani’s…Toscani’s…
Anyways, the deal was $15 for a choice of a range of set courses and a drink to go with. I chose Rump Steak with Chips.
The mushroom sauce and gravy was awesome. The chips were fried savoury with some hint of black pepper and oregano. And I liked the crispy texture on the surface of the rump. Very well done!! #punintended
@taiwantechie ordered Moroccan Chicken Pizza which looks very good too.
The size is smaller than the Domino’s regular one but then it’s a gourmet pizza, to the chef’s best.
We were very satisfied with our courses but we also wanted to try their dessert (actually just wanted sweet stuff after that). I ordered the New York baked Cheesecake.
With cream and raspberry sauce. $7.5 No ultra wow-factor but nothing short of delicious and creamy. @taiwantechie wanted the Heinekein to drink but after seeing that I ordered a cheesecake he wants something to eat too. He then ordered the Flourless Chocolate Cake.
If you like sweet stuff, get this. $6.5 – A warm sweet filling more-like-fudge cake.
There is one thing that I love about this place is how the patrons can sit down and be waited upon. Compared to some, if not most of the eateries I’ve visited, they would get you to order and pay upfront at the counter instead, then only bring you your food to your given table number after.
It just makes it more international (just like in the TV’s), easy, stress-free, and dinning-friendly. Please picture Max Brenner’s queue during peak times for comparison.
It’s only 1130am and I was yawning already. I would recommend Toscani’s any day any time for it’s food and dinning experience. Customer services can be improved though – waitresses ignored our hand-waves a few times. (is it coz’ we Asian?!!!) ![]()
We hit the cinemas for Johnny English reborn after.
The sequel movie and Rowan Atkinson stands for itself for its comedy genre. It’s &@&#(% hilarious!!!
Since it’s relatively new, I wouldn’t go into the details of the movie, no spoilers. Actually, I’ll give you more reasons to watch it!! One of it is the “Bond” girl to Johnny English, an infamous hottie!
Rosamund Pike.
Anyways, the movie theatre was packed to the brim – full house – sold out – sardin can! #schoolkidsschoolholidays
It’s a must-watch for pure comedy and entertainment – 8/10. Can’t wait for next Wednesday. ![]()
