RIP grandpa

Today don’t have bla.

I hardly write poems anymore but I shall compose one for my grandpa. He passed away early this morning (830am). Rest in peace, ah kong. A little eulogy beforehand:

”You are the one who thinks I am good. You are the one who teaches me to look. You exudes a style airing a China-man presence which makes a lot of heads turn. You are a figure with honour and dignity. You are my grandpa.

You may not be bubbly all the time, but your presence conjures all smiles. I’ve and always respect you for the things you’ve done, which mama always tells me so. Life is but a cruel place, but rest in peace now wherever you may be.”

Life is but a cruel stopping place,
A pause in what is always to be,
A resting place along the bumpy road,
To a sweet everlasting eternity.

We all have different roads and journeys,
Different paths and blocks along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never really meant to stay.

Our destination is a sacred place,
Far greater than we’ll ever know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We'll always claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord above.

dedicated to ah kong.

In memory of ah kong.
